According to Cinema Blend (which got the word from Variety), both Matt Damon and director Paul Greengrass are going to be back for a fourth Bourne movie. As much as I loved Ultimatum (it was probably my favourite of 2007), I share the Cinema Blend writer’s hesitancy about Universal studios going back to the well too many times. Ultimatum seemed like the perfect ending to a trilogy, with so many questions answered and issues resolved. Where will the next story go? What is the fourth movie going to cover? (I think this is where a lot of franchises go into prequel territory, so that’s a possibility, but that has pitfalls all its own.) Please don’t screw this one up, folks!
